Chocolate Quinoa “Porridge”

This breakfast feels so decadent due to the chocolate flavour but is packed full of B vitamins, protein and antioxidants. It basically tastes like hot chocolate as a porridge.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of quinoa

  • 1 tbsp of cacao

  • 1 cup of almond milk (unsweetened) or nut milk of choice

  • 1 large banana

  • Few tbsps of nuts

  • 1 tbsp of low sugar jam

Recipe

  1. Add in quinoa and almond milk and cook until the milk boils

  2. Then reduce the heat, add in cacao, 1/2 the banana (mashed) and chopped nuts

  3. Transfer to a bowl and top with the rest of the banana (sliced), nuts and jam.
