Choc Avocado Brownies

Ingredients 

  • 1 medium avocado (preferably Hass because that has the superior/creamier texture but any will do)

  • 1/2 cup of milk (soy, cow’s, almond, cashew)

  • 2 tbsp of maple syrup/honey

  • 1 cup of almond flour

  • 2 tbsp of cacao

  • 1 tsp of ground coffee

  • 1 tsp of baking powder

  • Toppings/mix-in’s (optional but highly recommended) toppings: dark chocolate chips, crushed walnuts, dried fruit, etc.

Recipe  

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees and line a pan with parchment paper

  2. Blend all the wet ingredients (avocado, milk & maple syrup) in a blender or food processor

  3. Combine the dry ingredients (almond flour, cacao, baking powder and ground coffee)

  4. Then combine the wet and dry ingredients

  5. Add in your optional toppings/mix-in’s for extra flavour/texture and stir to combine

  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top, add more toppings if desired

  7. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes (although this can be adjusted to your preference) at 180 degrees

  8. Once ready, allow the brownies to cool for 10 minutes

  9. Devour your vegan-friendly, fudgy avocado brownies
