Simple Air Fryer Toast

Can you bake in an airfryer? Can you reheat frozen foods without them tasting like soggy mush? Can you toast bread in an air-fryer? The answer is yes to all those questions. This isn’t a sponsored post for air-fryers (although please Kogan if you’re reading- feel free), but I think air fryers are incredible for us all time-poor folks. It makes clean-up so easy and cooks food so much quicker than a traditional oven would!

Air-fryer toast is so easy to make and makes the bread so crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside.

Ingredients

  1. Bread of choice (I usually opt for sourdough or wholegrain)

  2. Extra virgin olive oil or grass-fed butter or avocado oil, etc

  3. Red onion

  4. Tomato

  5. Herbs

  6. Minced garlic

  7. Lemon juice

  8. Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the bread into even slices and spread over the oil

  2. Add to an air-fryer at 175 degrees

  3. Whilst that’s cooking, prepare the toppings

  4. Finely chop a red onion, tomato and herbs of choice and add to a bowl

  5. In the same bowl, toss the vegetables with salt and pepper, olive oil, minced garlic and lemon juice

  6. Remove toast from air-fryer once crispy

  7. Arrange the toasted bread on a plate and add the ‘bruschetta’ inspired toppings on top

  8. Drizzle some balsamic vinegar on top

  9. Enjoy!
